Search for whales, sea otters, Steller sea lions, Dall’s porpoises, harbor seals, bald eagles, puffins, and many other types of marine birds as you cruise the the protected waters of Resurrection Bay on our 3.5 Hour Kenai Fjords Wildlife Cruise. Rather than following a set route, this cruise travels to the best whale and wildlife viewing areas that day based on reports from other vessels. Our experienced captains will explore the area’s wildlife hot spots to maximize your chances of viewing whales and other wildlife in Resurrection Bay. This cruise is fully narrated by our captains and naturalist crew members. Experience the cruise that President Obama took on his visit to Alaska in 2015. Beer, wine, beverages, and snacks are available for purchase. Two departure times are available for your convenience.

Our 3.5 Hour Kenai Fjords Wildlife Cruise departs from the Seward Harbor 360 Hotel
dock at 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. You will cruise along the rugged coastline of Resurrection bay in search of wildlife including humpback whales, orca whales, Steller sea lions, harbor seals, Dall's porpoises, sea otters, bald eagles, and many types of seabirds.
Several alpine glaciers, nestled high in the mountains surrounding Resurrection Bay, can be seen along the route if the weather permits. We may also cruise by Bear Glacier, a piedmont glacier and the largest glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park.
As we approach the end of Resurrection Bay we will visit Cape Resurrection, home to Steller sea lions and thousands of nesting seabirds. The captain will stop the boat close to the sea lion colonies and seabird rookeries, providing excellent photo opportunities.
While this cruise stays within the protected waters of Resurrection Bay, the route may very depending on wildlife viewing opportunities. Rather than following a set route, the captain will cruise to the best wildlife viewing areas based on recent wildlife sightings and communications with other vessels.
Beer, wine, sodas, hot chocolate, juice, and a variety of snacks will be available for purchase during the cruise. Complimentary coffee, tea, and water are provided.
