5 Hour Kenai Fjords Wildlife Cruise
Our 5 Hour Kenai Fjords Wildlife Cruise explores the calm, protected waters and rugged coastline of Resurrection Bay. You will experience up-close encounters with wildlife as we guide our ship along massive bird rookeries and sea lion colonies, stopping along the route to view passing whales and otters. You will see alpine glaciers tucked in the surrounding Chugach and Kenai Mountain Ranges and cruise by Bear Glacier, a piedmont glacier and the largest glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park. A National Park Ranger will be onboard to narrate your cruise. The protected waters of Resurrection Bay are calmer than the open waters visited on our longer Kenai Fjords National Park cruises, making this tour a better option for those who are prone to seasickness.
Tax, harbor fee, and meal not included in the above prices.

Our 5 Hour Kenai Fjords Wildlife Cruise departs from the Seward Small Boat Harbor at 12:00 p.m. and travels along the rugged coastline through the calm, protected waters of Resurrection Bay.
Fifteen minutes into the cruise we will begin serving our optional Alaska salmon and prime rib meal that is freshly prepared onboard. This meal is served buffet style and is consistently rated as the best of any day-cruise company in Southcentral Alaska. While you enjoy our cruising restaurant service you will be able to sit at your reserved seat inside the heated cabin and not miss out on any of the beautiful scenery.
Several alpine glaciers, nestled high in the mountains surrounding Resurrection Bay, can be seen along the route if the weather permits. We will also cruise by Bear Glacier, a piedmont glacier and the largest glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park.
As we approach the end of Resurrection Bay we will visit Cape Resurrection, home to Steller sea lions and thousands of nesting seabirds. The captain will stop the boat close to the sea lion colonies and seabird rookeries, providing excellent photo opportunities. Along the route you will have the chance to see abundant wildlife such as whales, sea otters, Dall’s porpoises, eagles, mountain goats, and many types of seabirds.
A National Park Ranger will be onboard to provide a detailed narrative on the history, ecology, geology, and wildlife in the area. They are always more than happy to answer your questions during the cruise.
The 5 Hour Kenai Fjords Wildlife Cruise route is indicated as the RED line on the cruise map. Routes may vary depending on wildlife and weather.
