Cruise with a National Park Ranger

Major Marine Tours’ signature day cruises* are hosted by uniformed Rangers, with National Park Rangers on our Seward cruises and National Forest Rangers on our Whittier cruises. These Rangers provide a detailed narrative of the history, ecology, and geology of the area and are available to answer your questions throughout the cruise. They are very experienced, informative, enthusiastic, and enjoy the opportunity to share their knowledge of Kenai Fjords National Park and Prince William Sound with our guests.

Junior Ranger Program

Kids love our Junior Ranger Program! With the help of the Ranger and their very own copy of the Junior Ranger Adventure Guide, children will learn about the glaciers, wildlife, and geology of Kenai Fjords National Park and Prince William Sound. They will also receive a Junior Ranger Badge in a ceremony at the end of the cruise.

Guests ages 13 and up are invited to take part in the Kenai Fjords National Park Explorer Program. Teens and adults will receive an Explorer Journal which will provide information about the area and include activities that encourage reflection and exploration during the cruise.

Who narrates the other cruises?
The 8.5 Hour Northwestern Fjord Cruise, 3.5 Hour Kenai Fjords Wildlife Cruise, Orca Quest Cruise, and Gray Whale Watching Cruise are narrated by our experienced, local captains and naturalist crew members.
