PLEASE NOTE: Due to National Park Service operational updates in response to the coronavirus, National Park Rangers will not be available to narrate our cruises for the remainder of the 2020 season. Our cruises will be fully narrated by our experienced, knowledgeable captains. Kids will still be able to participate in the fun and educational Junior Ranger Program onboard during our 6 Hour Cruise.
Resuming in 2021:
Major Marine Tours’ signature cruises are hosted by uniformed National Park Rangers. These rangers provide a detailed narrative of the history, ecology, and geology of the area and are available to answer your questions throughout the cruise. They are very experienced, informative, enthusiastic, and enjoy the opportunity to share their knowledge of Kenai Fjords National Park with our guests.
Kids love our Junior Ranger Program! With the help of the Ranger and their very own copy of the Junior Ranger Adventure Guide, children will learn about the glaciers, wildlife, and geology of Kenai Fjords National Park in this interactive program. They will also receive a Junior Ranger Badge in a ceremony at the end of the cruise. The Junior Ranger Program is recommended for kids ages 4-12.
Guests ages 13 and up are invited to take part in the Kenai Fjords National Park Explorer Program. Teens and adults will receive an Explorer Journal which will provide information about the area and include activities that encourage reflection and exploration during the cruise.
